The last two years have become an important period for the international visibility of Kazakhstani journals. To date, 10 journals from Kazakhstan are the part of nuclear collection of Web of Science Core Collection.

The selection for publication of scientific articles for Kazakhstani scientists is an actual and burning topic. Against the background of the positive dynamic growth of the number of publications of Kazakhstani authors in the international publications according to the analytics of Clarivate Analytics, carried out at the end of the last year, 1/3 part of domestic articles is published in so called predatory journals. One of the main reasons of this unpleasant phenomenon is that the scientists choose the journal incorrectly.

One of the ways to avoid dishonest publications is to appeal to domestic publications, recognized by the international community and included into the authority data base of Web of Science Core Collection. The most recent analytics, recently carried out for JSC “NCSSTE”, identified the top ten Kazakhstani journals, among them there is one edition of leading university ENU named after L.N.Gumilev and KazNU named after al-Farabi, as well as 3 journals of KarSU named after E.A.Buketov and as we already reported, 4 journals of NAS RK.

The number of the most influential international journals included into Web of Science Core Collection contains the next 10 Kazakhstani publications:

1. Eurasian Mathematical Journal (ENU named after L.N.Gumilev).

2. Eurasian chemical-technological journal (KazNU named after L.N.Gumilev).

3. Central Asian Journal of Global Health (Nazarbayev University).

4. Bulletin of Karaganda University. Series of “Physics” (KarSU named after E.A.Buketov).

5. Bulletin of Karaganda University. Series of “Mathematics” (KarSU named after E.A.Buketov).

6. Bulletin of Karaganda University. Series of “Chemistry” (KarSU named after E.A.Buketov).

8. Proceedings of NAS RK. Series of chemistry and technology.
