Today President NursultanNazarbayev received the Head of the Board of the cantons of the Swiss Confederation Filippo Lombardi - Tengrinews.kz reports citing the official website of Acorda.

During the meeting they discussed bilateral parliamentary relations as well as cooperation in the field of new technologies, energy and cooperation within international organizations.The Head of State noted that Lombardi’s first visit to Kazakhstanattaches great importance.
“Twenty years ago we established diplomatic relations with Switzerland.Between our two countries, there is a good economic and trade cooperation, mutual investmentis increasing.We have an interest in continuing the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation” – the president said.Nazarbayev also stressed the importance of inter-parliamentary relations, which make a significant contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations.

Meanwhile, Lombardi noted the importance of not only political, trade and economic cooperation, but also enhancing cooperation in other areas.We would like to express our support to hold the international exhibition EXPO-2017, the main theme of which will be the energy of the future, as well as the respect for Kazakhstan's achievements in many areas, including the economy, maintaining stability and peace in the region.In addition, Kazakhstan in 2010 successfully chaired the OSCE, and Switzerland lead this organization in 2014, so the Kazakh experience will be useful for us, - said the president of the board of the cantons of the Swiss Confederation.

Earlier, Lombardi has had several meetings with the President of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan KasymzhomartTokayev.
