Seismology Institute scientists under the direction of Doctor of technical sciences T. Abakanov studied the lithosphere of the territory of Kazakhstan. In the

framework of study it was developed the map of seismogenerating zones, or regional seismotectonic model of zones of earthquake origin as the basis of common seismic zoning of the republic’s territory.

During the project works it was tested and introduced into the program complex the selected models of attenuation models in order to assess the hazard in peak ground acceleration. The scientists developed common seismic zoning of the territory of Kazakhstan on the basis of probabilistic estimation of seismic hazard in scores of a scale of microseismic intensity and peak ground accelerations.

According to the results obtained during 2015, 9 articles were published, 2 of them in foreign publishing houses. 2 protection documents, including 1 patent of RK, 1 international patent application in corresponding countries, where technologies were developed.

According to the scientists the data of conducted researches can be used at designing, reconstruction and construction of objects of national economy, taking into account the state town-planning policy and long-term strategic interests of development of the country in new conditions.
