Flew the plane test pilot Steven Schmidt and the U.S. air force pilot Dan Dreger. Boeing T-X belongs to the class of single-engine aircraft and has a double tail, like the "big brother" Boeing F/A-18. This design allows the aircraft to greater agility and a higher value of angle of attack. In addition, Boeing T-X has a modular structure which allows to replace elements and nodes with more modern counterparts without the need to create a new machine that will greatly increase the service life of the aircraft.

The first prototypes of the fighter, the Boeing T-X was introduced in September of this year, and now Boeing is negotiating with the U.S. air force and Department of defense for long-term contract to supply Boeing T-X for the army. At successful coincidence of circumstances and successful completion of a series of test flights, Boeing T-X could come into service as early as in 2024. Incidentally, the Boeing company has released two clips from the test landfill, taken during testing of the aircraft from the ground and from the air.
