Scientists from North-East Federal University and Korean fund of biotechnological researches declared that they started to clone the mammoth.

This fund is cooperating with Yakut scientists from 2012 year in the frameworks of realization of program “Revival of mammoth and other fossil animals”.

This stage is strongly scientifically testing, after its finishing we will publish the results in scientific journals. “Second step” and following researches are already planned by scientists”, - explained the employee of fund.
