Students of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology in Pavlodar showed good results in the "VI International Junior Olympiad named after K.I. Satpayev".

The Olympiad is the name of an outstanding scientist and organizer of science, the first president of the Academy of Sciences Kanysh Imantayevich Satpayev. It was the sixth time when the young intellectuals competed in knowledge of the subjects chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics and computer science in the village Bayanaul of Pavlodar region during May 26-29, 2016.

In the team of Nazarbayev Intellectual School Pavlodar the student of Grade 8 Tulenov Diyar took at once two places: the first and the third on the directions for "Mathematics" and "Physics". The student of Grade 8 Shaki Elnur was awarded the diplomas of the second degree in the areas of "Chemistry" and "Natural science" and the student of Grade 8 Klokova Xenia took a certificate of appreciation for the natural-scientific direction.

Olympiad winners were awarded with valuable prizes and diplomas.

According to the organizers, every year the number of participants increases. If it was 207 students in 2015, this year there have attended 247 students, consisting of 40 teams, representatives of 9 regions of Kazakhstan (Astana and Almaty), Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, two regions of Russia - the team Novosibirsk, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The main feature of the Olympiad is the integration of subjects Mathematics and Science.

- The Olympiad is significant because it does not need to show knowledge in one subject, but immediately in three: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In Grades 5-6 I studied mathematics strenuously, in Grades 7 and 8 made emphasis on Physics. My previous efforts helped me to show a good result. We were given 4 hours to accomplish the tasks, but I coped with all the tasks in two hours only. This Contest is designed for students who are versatile and interested in different directions - said the winner of the Olympiad Games in "Mathematics" Tulenov Diyar.
