The United Instrument-Manufacturing Corporation is ready to begin serial deliveries of the Russian operating system “Zarya” designed for work with secret information and personal data, according to the website of the state corporation.

The system is developed on the basis of the Linux operating system with open source and modified for the needs of government agencies.

“Zarya” has been tested and certified by the Ministry of Defense of Russia and can be used for installation to users’ workstations, both for the organization of application servers and databases, as well as data-processing centres. The first project to be implemented on the basis of “Zarya” will be the system of military electronic tickets containing accounting information about the military and the data on the state of their health.
