“NCSTI” JSC in association with the Thomson Reuters Company carried out the seminar on the theme “Information day of Thomson Reuters for editors of scientific journals”. Web of Science: “The international standards of scientific journals.” The purpose of seminar is the coverage of issues of inclusion the journals into the database of Web of Science Core Collection.
The first part of seminar was devoted to the evaluation of journals for acceptance into the Web of Science. In addition there were raised the questions about the general description of platform of the Web of Science and its basic methodological principals, the platform structure and the key databases, the procedure of selection journals for indexing of the magazines, criteria of journals evaluation. The seminar participants saw how to define if the journal is indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection.
In the second part of seminar the participants got acquainted with the database of Journal Citation Reports, with Web of Science New Addition – new resource on the platform of Web of Science. The scientific editors of different journals received the answers on the urgent questions. The representatives of Thomson Reuters Company actively participated in seminar and diligently were answering all the questions of the participants.
