SKSU after M. Auezov was developed a technology for obtaining a demulsifier for dehydration of oil based on fatty acids of gossypol resin

Scientists of M.Auezov South Kazakhstan State University under the guidance of Dr.G.Zh. Bimbetova developed a technology for obtaining a demulsifier for dehydration of oil based on fatty acids of gossypol resin. The project belongs to the field of chemistry, chemical technologies, petrochemistry, metallurgy, mining and geology.

First of all, within the framework of the project, an experimental base was established. For several new processes, effective technological solutions and schemes had been developed that surpass the known analogs in their performance, including for the process of oxyethylation of fatty acids gossypol resin and for the production of demulsifiers of the “Gossilvan-3” series. The efficiency of a method for increasing the demulsifying properties of demulsifiers by means of an optimization of the input temperature, the consumption of the demulsifier and the concentration of the active part in the commodity form is substantiated in accordance with the conditions for the formation of the critical emulsion.

Furthermore, a method for studying the dielectric properties of demulsifier solutions had been introduced in practice with the aim of solving the problems of optimizing the composition of commodity formaldehyde emulsifiers and recording the synergism effects of demulsifying action in their mixtures.

In the course of the research, new demulsifiers were obtained and studied: Gossilvan-3NM, Gossilvan-3K1 and Gossilvan-3K2. In industrial tests, the use of demulsifiers allowed a good degree of desalting and dehydration.

Within the framework of implementation of the project and its results, scientists published 31 articles, including 16 articles in foreign journals.

During the testing and implementation stages, industrial tests were successfully carried out to obtain an assessment of the comparative effectiveness of the developed demulsifiers: Gossilvan-3K1, Gossilvan-3K2 Gossilvan-3NM with imported reagents used in the fields and blocks of the ELOU of refineries Kazakhstan.

A technique for studying the dielectric properties of demulsifier solutions to solve the problems of optimizing the composition of commodity forms demulsifier and recording the synergism effects of demulsifying action in their mixtures had been introduced.

It should be noted that the project is of practical value. The conducted industrial tests confirmed the high efficiency for dehydration of high-paraffinic oil deposits of the South Turgai trough. Demulsifiers of the "Gossilvan" series are intended for the decomposition of emulsions formed during the extraction of crude oil.
