The Chinese Institute of Quantum Technologies has already tested the system in early July, after which experts came to the conclusion that it is fully ready for work. The launch of the messenger is scheduled for August 2017. At first, it will be used by about 200 military and government officials of Jinan City, where the quantum institute is located. If someone tries to hack the network, the connection will immediately terminate, blocking the hackers access to information.
And this is not the only success of Chinese scientists in the field of quantum technology. In August 2016, China launched a quantum communication satellite, which a year later established communication with the Earth, passing information to several Chinese stations. In the spring of this year, China began developing a quantum computer.
