The Library Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan (LARK)
MISSION:
The Library Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan (BARK) was registered in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1997.
The LARK brings together on a voluntary basis libraries, institutions and individuals who are professionallyrelatedto the librarianship, interested in the development of both libraries and librarianship in general.
The LARK has the Charter, its own seal, letterhead with the logo, the settlement account.Sections of the LARK act in accordance with model provision.
Requestsare accepted on behalf of the LARKmembersto the President, the Government and Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the issues of librarianship.
The Libraries Day of Almaty was established at the initiative of the LARK - October 15 (day of opening of the first Congress of Librarians of Kazakhstan).
The LARK management bodies are Congress, the Association Council, the President and responsible Secretary.
The LARK members are 75 legal entities.
The LARK is a member of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLAI) and the Library Assembly of Eurasia (LAE).
