There is the system of protection of children’s rights at the central and regional levels in the republic.

The authorized institute on the rights of children was created in the Republic of Kazakhstan by the decree of the president in February 10, 2016.

The special status is that this institute is not the structure of any ministry, organization or department and it is not accountable for the state bodies and officials. Therefore, the Commissioner can impartially assess the situation of children in the country or region and objectively analyze the laws and decisions taken by the national government and local authorities in relation to the rights of children.

It must be available for all children under the age of 18 years, have the authority to receive and investigate complains of violation of children’s rights, provide the confidentiality and the protection of victims and carry out the events for their interests by monitoring the following activities and control.
