Consortium of developers of digital educational content

The consortium was established in accordance with the request of the Minister of Education and Science BakhytzhanTursynovichZhumagulov to ensure the quality of e-learning in Kazakhstan in accordance with the State Program of Education Development until 2020 and the resolution of the 5th International Forum on the informatization of education.

In Kazakhstan, for the first time e-learning for pupils and college students is being implemented. Since last year the government has been providing a budget to create e-learning. Financing is also provided for the provision of schools and colleges of the appropriate infrastructure for the substantive filling of digital educational resources on the subjects of school education and VET.In addition, it is a specialtraining of schools’ and colleges’ teachersto use the system.

12 companies joined the Consortium as a voluntary association of legal persons, which is a legally valid act on the basis of Article 233 of “The Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan."

The consortium is an association of five foreign companies and 7 specialized companies, educational institutions of Kazakhstan:

The mission of the Consortium is to bring into Kazakhstan educational international best practices on e-learning and digital content creation. This will provide an opportunity to significantly enrich the method of teaching the subjects, to bring it closer to the achievements of the British, Poles, Romanians, and Russians.Along with digital educational resources (DER), to the learning process of Kazakh educational institutions will come new methods of teaching with subjects on the basis of the latest achievements in the field of information and communication technologies, a new paradigm of learning.
