Consortium of Rectors of Universities established in Kazakhstan
The purpose of this consortium – is to enlarge the cooperation between the rectors of Kazakhstan’s universities to ensure that Kazakhstan’s universities could achieve sustainable development and significant results in the implementation of the Bologna process. The consortium will also work closely with the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan in order to make the formulation and promotion of serious and advanced policy in the field of higher education.

Up to date, four universities entered into the consortium. They are Kazakh Humanitarian Law University, KIMEP, Almaty Academy of Economics and Statistics and Kazakh Academy of Finance and Economics.
As the rector of Kazakh Humanitarian Law University MaksutNarikbaev said at a press conference, three universities have confirmed their intention to enter into the union.
Narikbaev said: “The following universities have confirmed that they will sign the agreement: Almaty Humanitarian Technical University, Medical University “Astana” and Zhambyl Humanitarian-Technical University”.
In addition to his words, the accession negotiations are being conducted with the rectors of Kazakh National Medical University, Kazakh-British University and Nazarbayev University.
