Over the past 10 years, Kazakhstan's science achieved excellent results, some of which are world standard.

According to research results there are obtained 877 patents, developed 136 samples of techniques, created and tested 193 kinds of crops, produced and tested 14 new types of lines and breeds of farm animals. Prepared a design and technical documentation for the 36 science-intensive industries.

On the basis of the use of domestic technology in the Country it assumes the renewal of existing chemical and petrochemical industries and the construction of efficient and competitive small and medium industries for processing of oil, gas and coal.

The issues of the formation of ethnic Kazakhs territory and the history of Kazakh nationhood, national liberation movement, the "white spots" in the history of literature and art of Kazakhstan in the early twentieth century, etc., were explored in the field of social science.

In the field of physics and mathematics there was developed the automated system for prediction of atmospheric pollution of industrial cities, was produced a multipurpose automatic control system of deterministic and stochastic complied technology process, was developed the basic principles of computer design of new generation of multifunctional materials.

An electrostatic energy analyzer with higher resolution and a special hybrid spectrometer for surface analysis was developed. A method of forecasting the yield of grain crops on the basis of satellite remote sensing surveys and ground-based observations, an agro climatic zoning of the territory of Kazakhstan, examined the condition and causes of ecological crises in the regions of the Caspian and Aral Sea.

In the field of Earth Sciences were developed a new fundamental frameworks and metallogenic ore formational analysis, originated a series of geological and economic maps with of the elements of forecast, revealing the condition and prospects of development of the main types of mineral resources of Kazakhstan, issued the projection map of oil and gas the Republic. There were developed new advanced geo informational systems and bases of hydro geological data, originated the physical and dynamic models of the formation of focal zones of strong earthquakes. There are major advances in the theory and development of technology, deployment of new advanced metallurgical and non-ferrous processes on metallurgical enterprises in Kazakhstan and CIS countries.

In the field of chemical and technological sciences there were developed new highly efficient catalysts and catalytic processes for the processing of processing Kazakhstani oil. There was synthesized a series of new monomers and polymers on the basis of which was received high-composite materials, water-soluble polymer preparations. A technology of production of nicotinic acid needed for medicine and agriculture was patented in 20 foreign countries. There were produced and developed new medicines of various effects.

Biological sciences have successfully developed a study on molecular and cell biology, studying the problem of structural and functional organization and regulation of activities of higher organisms’ genome. Developed unique model for rangeland inventory mapping, the concept of biological reproduction of soil fertility.

In the field of Agricultural Sciences was produced and tested 193 varieties of crops in view of bioclimatic potential of the region. Formed gene pool of forage crops, consisting of 3473 samples, and vegetables (156 sample types). Produced and tested 14 new types, lines and breeds of farm animals.
